The process of developing high performance thoughts takes a counterintuitive approach.

Logic would tell us that fighting unwanted negative or undermining thoughts head on would be the best solution.  This often leads to mental train wrecks and larger battles with casualties.

Instead of a mental battle to make it go away, acknowledge and be with the thought.  Acknowledging it doesn’t mean you agree or condone the thought.

Love the thought as you would a rebellious child.  Don’t violently condemn thoughts that don’t align with your best self, rather acknowledge them and then move on.

Though subtle, it is extremely powerful. You’ll find that over time the unwanted thoughts will melt away like an ice cube on a hot summer day.
