Last November, I looked in the mirror and finally had enough. Something changed and I vowed to myself that if I didn’t like what I saw in the mirror I was going to do something about it.
I’ve lost almost 25 pounds the last 6 months and this has largely been due to changing my diet. I eat more veggies, consume less meat, and avoid sugar and processed foods completely.
I read a book a few years ago called the China Study. The book studied the effects of a plant-based diet on major populations of China. The studies were extensive and the results were eye-opening.
Last night my wife and I watched the movie Forks Over Knives (you can watch the trailer at http://www.forksoverknives.com/about/) and I’d highly recommend watching the full movie.
My first career was natural health and the passion for eating healthy has never completely gone away. I’d worked with so many who were looking for answers to their health challenges but would never look to the power of their food as a real medicine.
I know so many struggle with allergies, illnesses, and the need for vast amounts of medication just to survive. If you haven’t looked to your food as an answer I’d highly encourage you to do so. Your life depends on it.
Note: We watched the movie on Netflix but it’s also available on Amazon.
